Anglo-File Consulting is known for the quality of its work and its expertise in technical areas. Since 1995, the company has been providing linguistic solutions in the oil & gas sector, renewable energies, geosciences and new technologies, health, safety and environment, R&D, finance, contracts & procurement, information technologies and human resources.
Over time, the company has extended its areas of expertise and today, in addition to technical projects, it translates communication for different kinds of events, social media and the scientific press among others. We also offer certified translations, and the software and tools we use mean that we can work on a wide variety of source files and produce deliverables in the original format (InDesign, Excel, etc.).

Simultaneous at seminars, symposiums, etc. (in a booth, with microphones and headsets, the translation is instantaneous).
Consecutive (the interpreter stands with the speakers and the translation is rendered in meaningful paragraphs and therefore takes more time), for guided tours (the interpreter is responsible for a small group of people, and uses a portable headset-microphone device so that s/he can move around along with the guide).
Liaison (during meetings, the interpreter translates everything that is said to keep the discussion flowing).
Whispering (for groups of two to three people. The interpreter whispers the translation to the recipient listener).

Interpreting
For many years now, the interpreters at Anglo-File Consulting have been managing their assignments with discipline, organization and thorough preparation. Before any assignment, interpreters prepare the subject matter using documents provided by the client, to ensure that the are familiar with the topic and can pinpoint specific terminology. Assignments lasting more than an hour and a half require two interpreters to relay one another. Interpreting is an intensive activity on both the voice and the brain, and brief rest periods are required for lengthy assignments so that interpreters can be focused and clear-headed throughout.
Anglo-File Consulting offers transcription, subtitling and voice-over services. The team is used to managing projects containing several hours of film and subtitling them, in particular on social media such as YouTube channels.
As regards voice-over translation, we lend our voices to applications and e-learning courses among others. Members of the team who take on these assignments are all native speakers, providing an authentic end result.
